Bubble Candle DIY | Material
You’ll need:
- Silicone candle mold
- Candlewick
- Paraffin
- Wax crayons for coloring
- Wooden pick
- Pot & jar for water bath
Bubble Candle DIY | Method
Thread the candlewick through your candle mold and secure it with the wooden stick at the open side. This side will later be the bottom of your candle. Make sure the wick is straight and secured.
Now fill your jar with the paraffin and heat it carefully in a waterbath. Stir until the paraffin is liquid and completely transparent. Be careful: The wax is very hot when molten!
Now take the wax crayon in the color of your choice and dribble little bits of it in the hot paraffin. Stir well until the color is fully dissolved. The more colored way you use, the more intense the color of your candle at the end.
Take the hot wax and pour it carefully into the clean mold. Make sure the candlewick stays in place. Shake the mold lightly to avoid air bubbles. And now: Time to do absolutely nothing and wait for the candle to dry.
After 3-4 hours (depending on the size of your mold), your candle can be peeled out of its shell. Cut off the candlewick at the bottom of the candle and there you go: Your Bubble Candle ist ready to impress all interior lovers!
